Winter sprinkler ban ends

Winter sprinkler ban ends

Now that spring has finally arrived, residents in the metropolitan area are no longer restricted from watering by the Winter Sprinkler Ban, which ended on August 31.

However, residents still need to be aware that they are only allowed to water their garden and lawn on their designated watering days and should water once a day either before 9am or after 6pm.

Your watering days are determined by your street number. You can find out your watering days on the Water Corporation website. https://www.watercorporation.com.au/save-water/watering-days

Residents should be aware that hand watering with a hose is allowed outside of the designated watering days, as is topping up your swimming pool, washing your car with a hose or topping up a pond or fountain.

Hosing your driveway and using a high pressure hose is not allowed.
